Imotski is home to the iconic Blue Lake (Modro Jezero) and Red Lake (Crveno Jezero), two stunning natural wonders with vibrant colours and fascinating geological features. The Blue Lake is perfect for a refreshing swim in summer. Red Lake is the deepest karst lake (sinkhole) in Europe.

2️⃣ THE UNIQUE HISTORY
Perched above the Blue Lake, the Topana Fortress has stood since at least the 10th century, playing a crucial role in defending Imotski throughout history. Legend has it that during Ottoman sieges, a hidden well within the fortress provided water to the townspeople, sustaining them through prolonged attacks. Today, visitors can explore the fortress ruins and enjoy panoramic views of the town and surrounding landscape.

3️⃣ THE EXCEPTIONAL WINE
Imotski’s wine heritage is flourishing, with local wineries producing exceptional wines from indigenous grape varieties. The region is particularly known for Kujundžuša, a native white grape yielding fresh, light wines. Wineries like Grabovac, with a family tradition dating back over 200 years, offer tastings of Kujundžuša and other varieties, providing an authentic taste of the Imotski terroir.
